How It Works
We’ve designed our process to be clear, supportive, and focused on what matters most—your child’s safety and well-being, while providing flexibility through community-based visit options.
Step 1: Submit Intake Forms
Each parent or guardian will complete a Supervised Visitation Intake Form. Once both forms are submitted, our team carefully reviews them to determine next steps and any important considerations for visits. There is a $40 fee per person for the intake form.
Please note, we’re unable to move forward with interviews or scheduling until both forms have been received.
Step 2: Virtual Interviews
After reviewing your forms, we’ll schedule a one-on-one virtual meeting with each parent. This helps us better understand your family’s unique situation.
We approach every conversation with neutrality, respect, and care. During this time, we may discuss court documents, family dynamics, and appropriate community locations for visits. Even in challenging situations, our goal is to help create a plan that works for everyone—especially your child.
Step 3: Customized Visitation Plan
Next, we create personalized visitation protocols tailored specifically to your family. These guidelines outline what to expect and help ensure visits run smoothly and safely in pre-approved community settings.
Both parents will receive the protocols along with our Terms of Service to review and sign electronically.
Step 4: Scheduling Visits
Once everything is agreed upon, we can begin scheduling visits. We’re happy to coordinate schedules for you, or if both parents are comfortable, you may work together to request visit times at approved community locations.
Step 5: Secure Your Appointment
To reserve your visit time, payment must be made at the time of booking.
Please keep in mind: The full intake process may take 1-2 weeks, depending on how quickly everyone responds. We recommend waiting to make travel plans until your visit is confirmed and paid.
What to Expect During Visits
Our goal is to create a safe, structured, and positive experience for your child in a comfortable, neutral setting.
All visits take place in the community at pre-approved public locations such as parks, libraries, or other family-friendly spaces. This approach allows children to interact in more natural, real-world environments while maintaining the structure and safety of supervised visitation.
Our team will arrive early to assess the location and ensure it meets safety expectations. If any concerns arise about the environment, the visit may be rescheduled or relocated.
During the visit, parents are encouraged to engage naturally with their child—whether that’s talking, playing, or participating in activities together. We aim to remain as unobtrusive as possible while still maintaining active supervision at all times. If needed, we can suggest age-appropriate activities to support positive interaction.
These community-based visits are designed to feel as normal and comfortable as possible, while still providing the oversight needed to ensure everyone’s safety.
Our Role During the Visit
Your child’s safety is always our top priority.
The monitor will observe interactions and step in if necessary to maintain a safe environment.
Because visits take place in the community, the monitor will assess surroundings in real time and make proactive decisions to ensure safety in public settings.
In situations where there is a history of safety concerns, additional precautions may be taken. These decisions are made thoughtfully during the intake process with your child’s protection in mind.
Court Proceedings
After each visit, we provide a detailed report based on what was observed during the interaction. Our goal is to offer clear, accurate documentation while maintaining transparency with both parents.
We do not include opinions, recommendations, mental health evaluations, or custody-related input. This ensures that all reporting remains fair, unbiased, and focused solely on what took place during the visit.
We believe in open communication, so reports are shared with both parents to help keep everyone informed and supported throughout the process.
If we are asked to participate in court proceedings, our team will provide factual information based on documented observations. We rely on these reports to accurately reference specific interactions or events.
Reports may also be submitted to the court upon request. Any time spent on court-related services, including testimony, will be billed at the hourly rate outlined in your Service Agreement.
